When you finally realize the divine timing that brought you to where you are, is the same divine timing that will keep you going to where you need to go, you will already be where you are supposed to be.

A Rainy Sunday

A Rainy Sunday

Can anyone tell me where the rest of the year went? I looked at the date today and realized the first of December is in two days. I have no idea how we got here this fast. I could have sworn I was just knee deep in the lake looking for agates in central Minnesota, now I have Christmas lights and advent calenders hanging in the front of my bus in the middle of Oklahoma.

I am nowhere near prepared for Christmas, but I suppose that's normal. I can be a last minute kinda gal when it comes to handmade gifts. I wouldn't go so far as to say that I thrive under pressure, but I do tend to get shit done when I have a firm deadline or it’s for someone else.

I’ve been looking at my list of things that need making, and then looking around at my work space…or more my non-workspace, and being frustrated by all the crap my guys leave around, so yesterday I spent the day doing my favorite thing.

Cleaning.

Ha. Right.

Definitely not my favorite thing to do, but I got more accomplished inside the living space of our bus in one day than I ever did in my house in a day. The feeling was very conducive to a good nights sleep. Now, as I sit here the next morning with the last cold sip of coffee in my cup, which needs to be remedied…I'll be right back.

Sorry, this is going to take longer than I planned.

My thermos is empty, and since I am still using my dead coffeemaker as a big pour over, it is going to take a few minutes.

I’m back.

Now that I am once again in possession of a hot cup of cream…er I mean coffee, where the heck was I?

Right.

Now I am sitting here looking around at an organized space, complete with fake candles glowing, christmas lights hanging and Vince Guaraldi playing in the background. I find I'm once again motivated to make a mess with my fabric, and get busy making.

Sometimes all it takes to clear out the slow energy is a good clean. And the ability to take a rain day immediately after so you can enjoy it before you destroy it again.

Ah, the cycle that is home life.
