When you finally realize the divine timing that brought you to where you are, is the same divine timing that will keep you going to where you need to go, you will already be where you are supposed to be.

A New Year, A New Outlook

A New Year, A New Outlook

It's January 4th today.

Our progress count for 2021 has begun.

We extended the floor in the front of the bus by about 3 or 4 sq ft, because if we've learned anything from living on this bus while we convert it, it's that we don't need a permanent car seat for me/Connor more than we could use a couple extra feet of floor space for our living area. It doesn't seem like much, but I definitely notice the extra space when I put my yoga mat out.

Side note* - if you do yoga and happen to be getting yourself an E4500 bus to convert…even with enough roof space to accomodate our tallest family member (Connor), I have to open the hatch if I want to extend my arms straight overhead, and I am 5’ 5.5”.

We have a flushing toilet, and have for a month! I didn't realize how much we as a species take flushing toilets for granted, until Andy installed ours after using a “composting toilet" for a few months. Remember folks, “Composting Toilet” is just the fancy term for “Outhouse”.

We moved a wall, built another, and used up our 1x1 steel in the process. Good thing choosing steel over lumber seems to be the norm for this area, as that means there's plenty of steel for us. Seriously. Everywhere you go here there are miles upon miles of welded steel fence line.

Today another wall goes up, and the bedframe gets attached. Tomorrow, after a necessary trip to a store that is not Menards, the walls will be sheeted and then we have real rooms/spaces!

I feel like this new, get-shit-done-and-change-your-life energy that rode in after the Cancer Full Moon is the kind of energy that you either embrace and hang onto tightly, or you run from it, afraid, full speed ahead in the other direction. If you ran in fear, hold tight to knowing that there’s nothing to be afraid of!

2021 is only asking that you leave all the garbage behind, sit down, and buckle up. Or, as my grandpa used to say “Hold onto your hat girlie, we're going places now!”

Are you prepared for the ride?

I know I am.
